Adventure sports - Vocabulary

Adventure sports (or extreme sports) are sports that have a higher level of danger, excitement and required skill than regular sports.
Adventure sports have become increasingly popular since the 1990s, with a wide range of sports taking place in the water, on land and in the air. Classic examples are windsurfing, kiteboarding, street luge and rock climbing. Participants need to be fit and be trained in the specific sport, as well as have appropriate safety equipment.
